Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American musician, songwriter and guitarist who played lead guitar of the all-girl rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their music and their rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed throughout the world of rock. Although the band did not achieve much success in America, they were hugely popular overseas. That was the case especially in Japan. After the band split in 1979, Ford began a successful solo career with heavy metal. After taking lessons in singing, she released her solo debut album, 'Out For Blood'.
