Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise, an American actor and writer, is popular for her portrayal of Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. Her stage work began in the 1950s with Two's Company, a Bettle-Davis musical. In the 1950s, she appeared as a stage artist in a few Broadway plays before breaking through into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner's performance in the year 1957. Her album, It's too late for Tina the same year. Her first appearance into Hollywood was in the role of Griselda in God's Little Acre, a 1958 film. The film received widespread praise. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. During this time she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. Her next role that she played as Ginger Grant, which CBS signed her up for in 1964. Louise kept juggling her acting career in between Broadway as well as Hollywood acting in more realistic roles, as in contrast to her portrayal of herself as a glamorous woman. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Sanctuary however she also was an accomplished television director on several series including Supernatural as well as The 100. She was born on the 28th of August, 1965, in Essex. As a young girl, three, her family relocated her to Toronto which is where she spent the majority of her childhood. She settled in Vancouver following her selection for the role of Samantha Carter.
